LC Classifications
The Library of Congress uses 4 letters to classify History. C is used for the auxilary sciences of history - archaeology, numismatics, geneaology, etc. The letters D- DR are used for General History and the History of Europe. DS is Asia, DT Africa and DU is Oceana. E and F are used for North and South America and the United States.Databases

Published annually since 1972, the Historic Documents Series contains 33 volumes of primary sources. Each volume includes approximately one hundred documents covering the most significant events of the year. This database contains approximately 2,000 documents and images relating to the Native American population of the Southeastern United States from the collections of the University of Georgia Libraries, the University of Tennessee at Knoxville Library, the Frank H. McClung Museum, the Tennessee State Library and Archives, the Tennessee State Museum and the Museum of the Cherokee Indian.
