InterLibrary Loan

Duckworth Library partakes in a the ILL system which allows us to aquire books from around the world via borrowing from other libraries. However, this process can take up to two weeks. Start your search early in the semester and speak with a librarian as soon as you find that you need to use ILL to insure that your materials arrive in time for your project.

Follow the steps below to help us help you.

Step 1 - Determine if Duckworth Library holds what you need.

A. Check our online catalog to see if a book is in the building or available as an ebook.
B. Check the online databases to see if we have access to the journal or publication you need.

If you cannot locate the information you need, it may be helpful to consult a Librarian. If you know the exact material you need and it is not in the building, continue the InterLibrary Loan process.

Step 2 - Gather citation information

A. For a book - locate the Title and Author of the work. A date of publication can also be helpful.
B. For an article - locate the title of the publication, title of the article, author of the article, volume, issue, date and page number of the citation.

Step 3 - Make the request

You can make a request by either emailing Mrs. Day at joyday[at]yhc.edu or by printing this form, completing it and bringing it to the Library. Be sure to include full contact information, including telephone number and email address, so we can get back to you about your request.
