Library Access Policies
Patron Eligibility
Anyone may use the Duckworth Library materials inside the Library building. However, a Library card is necessary to borrow Library materials. Library cards may be obtained at the Circulation desk during regular Library hours. You are eligible for a Library card if you are a YHC student, faculty member, staff person or a member of ICL. Community membership is extended to persons living in Towns, Union, Rabun, or Fannin Counties in Georgia and to those living in Cherokee, and Clay Counties in North Carolina.

Limited Loan Period Materials
The following materials have a limited circulation period:
- Videos & DVDs (1 week for faculty & students. Not available for community members)
- Reserve materials (must be used in the Building)
- Popular Titles (1 week for faculty & students. Not available for community members)
- Special Collections: Archives and Lincoln material may be viewed in the Building
Non-Circulating Materials
In order to facilitate access by all users, the following materials do not circulate without special permission:
- Reference materials
- Periodicals & Newspapers
- Archives and Special Collections materials
